Bees are my great source of inspiration for me. I took over beekeeping as an inheritance from my father, in fact I am already the third generation of our family dedicated to beekeeping. I take care of the bees in my cottage towering over Spiš Castle, where I find my “refuge”.
As an artist, I work with bees. I work with honeycombs, incorporate their honeycomb filigree structures into geometric prisms and create new glass objects – explore Organica collection in My Glass Work. I also work with the basic building unit of the honeycomb, which I often modify in size. The hexagon hides in itself the so-called bee code, which I integrate on an enlarged scale into the massive objects of the Zoom collection.
This line of creation refers to the need to preserve nature as well as family traditions, which bring us back to our roots and to the ancient identity of man, who was originally always connected with nature.
“If the bee disappears from the surface of the Earth, man would have no more than four years left to live.”
